The Muslim Student Union at the
University of Southern California

The USC MSU is dedicated to building a sense of community through the Prophetic model of inclusion, diversity, advocacy, and compassion.

About Us

We provide Muslims with a strong sense of unity through events, speakers and programs built to engage and develop communities both inside and outside of the organization. Whether through annual events, weekly gatherings or daily prayers, our purpose is found through our ability to unite individuals regardless of their differences. In an effort to fulfill students’ social and spiritual needs, we bring people together from various cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies to foster our diverse yet unified identity.

Have a question about Islam? Want a second opinion? Need someone to talk to? Whatever your questions may be, Sheikh Jibreel Speight’s knowledge of Islamic studies at Umm Al Qura University in Mecca and his memorization of the Quran, may help through his Office Hours or privately-held sessions.

Need a place to pray in between classes? Room 204 at the University Religious Center is the place to go. Our newly renovated Muslim Prayer space is home to many MusIim students on campus. It caters to Community, Islamic, and Volunteer events, and avails space for useful interaction and learning through weekly classes, Halaqas and support to new reverts and converts to Islam.
